T SHIRT AUCTION

I now have 1500 followers on twitter & google +,  You are all Bikers, Biker bars, Chop Shops, Bike Clubs and MCs.

I am trying to organise a T Shirt auction at Mac’s place ” Slippery Sam’s Biker Bar” in Pai Northern Thailand.

Am trying to get original, unusual, and  unique  T Shirts from all over the world.

I build bikes for the local disabled kids in the area and do it out of my own pocket and could use a bit of sponsorship.

I’m sure that many of you have Club, Bar, and Organisation T Shirts.

Please donate a T Shirt to the cause. We don’t care if is Small, Medium, or Large, even XXL is cool, as there are a lot of large number Ex pats out here.

All proceeds will go to helping a disabled kid get on the road and have a bit of freedom……………..

If anyone can help the please let me know….

contact me on http://www.onehandedbikers.org

I will forward the details of how to get your shirt to me.

It will cost you the price of a stamp, but it will make someone in a wheelchair very happy.

Thanks in anticipation

Mac

One Arm Thai Boy

During my 7 years in Pai I have noticed quite a few people in Pai Town and the surrounding villages that have similar disabilities to myself, and would like to offer them the chance to get on the road with the freedom to ride.

It is not just people with my condition that could benefit; many of you will have noticed a couple of wheelchair motorcycle adaption’s riding around town. This really isn’t a complicated modification and could be accomplished relatively cheaply.

So whatever disability that you or someone you know may have, if you or they have the ambition to ride again, or would like to experience the thrill for the first time, then I am more than willing to offer any advice, enthusiasm, contacts, encouragement, and knowledge that will help you fulfill your dream and get you on the road. So if  you know of anybody, friends or family that might benefit from this offer please get in touch.

I am currently looking for a small workspace in Pai town to kick start off this project, so if you know of somewhere suitable to work on a motorcycle please let me know. I would also like to ask you for donations of any old motorbike bits & pieces, old wrecks, non runners, rust buckets, wheels, seats, forks or tanks, anything that you may have lying around. I can make anything look pretty again, except myself.

I wish someone had knocked on my door 25 years ago and given me the keys to a free motorbike.

Inspiration……………………..

I think i have just found my new project, am going to blatantly plagiarize the style and look of this great looking bike. Even after swearing blind that the last chop would be the last chop, but as i have most of the bits knocking around then i think i’ll give it a go. will keep you updated……………………………..

Almost There !!!!!

In theory i’m not far away from finishing, still got to make a battery box, add a suicide shift, make a seat mount ( floating seat, no supports, that should be interesting ) and wire up an electric start ( i hate electrics ) Maybe I think the headlight should be yellow?

Loving this new colour…………………

Loving this new colour.....................

touch wood, if i can get a Welder to come to my house i should have the new chop all put together by this time next week, failing that it will be my Christmas present to myself……………………….

Project Update…….

Thought is was about time I actually updated on the progress of the new chopper. Have finally managed to rub down the tank to the shocking pink, anyone here in Pai that has seen this bike will know that it has been about half a dozen different colours, so after rubbing my fingertips raw, I have managed to get it down to this, cant wait to spray it, that pink is far too girly….

Vespa seat cost me 100 bht, thats 2 quid, 3 bucks at a Chiang Mai second hand market, bargain. It is going to look seriously good,  just need to figure out the nicest, coolest sitting position and mounting, don’t think that will be that difficult………………

50 Bht, 1.5 bucks, 1 quid front fender, a day of rubbing down should see it as good as new.

Got to make a battery box, and mount that somewhere, Then rig up an electric start, God I hate bike electrics.

Side panel templates are all cut out, just got to get them cut out in steel and tacked on. Hopefully got a welder coming to the house next week to finish of all the welding, ( Gonna have to stand over him, never trust a Thai welder)

Design and make a sexy looking suicide shift, that’s going to freak a few Thai Traffic Cops out,  a one handed man riding a motorbike with a suicide shifter. Looking forward to that…………………….

So that’s about it, In my head it’s built but will still probably take me till Christmas. will ride it as a dry build for a week or 2, just to make sure nothing falls off’ breaks, or dies on me before a complete strip down to bare frame and a seriously hard core spray job.

It’s going to be a seriously cool Christmas present to myself.

Will try and take more photos as she progresses.

Cheers

Mac

My New Project……………….

Okay, I can’t mess around any longer have had this old frame lying around getting rusty and having trees growing in and out of the frame for to long now.

So here goes.

Anybody that has known me for playing around with Cars, Trikes, and Bikes over the last 30 years will know that nothing I start turns out like the original idea. I am a pain in the arse for changing my mind half way through a project, whether it’s something as simple as the colour scheme or as radical as not being happy with a trike engine and having to do some serious modifications.

So have given myself a selection of possible outcomes for this project. I know basically know it will turn out as a combination of any of the selection below.

If you have a favourite or a nice combinations of a couple of aspects of one of the nice bobber collection below then please let me know, if I like your way of thinking, you never know it might be in the end result.

So here we go, from this.

To something like one of these.

OK, So I am slightly biased, hence the larger photo, but really do like this next bike, Don’t even think it would be that hard to build.

So that’s the plan, I will try and take photo’s and updates as the work progresses………………………………………..

Cheers

Mac

New Project

Ok, have changed my mind, yet again.  I’m thinking this should be the style of the next project, I’t doesn’t look that hard to build…maybe… and it is very sexy,

I like this a lot…

Will update you with photo’s as she slowly transforms….

My Old Project

My Old Trike

My Old Trike

My old trike project, it’s a 1400cc Rover Metro based automatic, i believe it is still slowly rotting away in the same lockup that I left her in 6 years ago, If anyone in the UK is up for a challenge then look no further. She is locked away on the Isle of Man and will probably need a bit of TCL to get her started again. She was 90% when i left her, this is quite an early photo in t5he build stage, so she’s a lot nicer than this photo. But if anyone has the inspiration to get her back on the road again, then let me know and i will pass on the contact details. God I miss her……

Workshop

Just had some great news,

I believe I might have found an ideal little workshop. This really is good news it means i can start the new bike project without getting wet, losing nuts and bolts in the undergrowth behind my house, and spray bits and pieces without them getting ruined 2 hours later co’s of rain.

Ooohh yes i’m happy….

Very Slippery DB MC Colours

I’m trying to figure out what colours I should use for Very Slippery DB MC. Very Slippery DB (Disabled Bikers) MC is one of my projects that i intend to fullfill in the future. Along with building bikes for disabled people, I want to create a Motorcycle Club up here in Northern Thailand for Disabled Riders and eventually run tours around this unbelievably beautiful province.
